La Isla Bonita

Ibiza is reinventing itself once again as a place to relax and recharge. Lucy Halfhead of Harpers Bazaar UK reviews Sabina Ibiza as one of the places to find privacy, soothing sea views and luxurious pool side lunches.

Sabina Ibiza is the brainchild of British developer Anton Bilton whose own home of the Island has become a retreat for friends and family.

Wanting to build on this feeling of community at Sabina, Anton enlisted 18 of the world’s top architects and designers including John Pawson, David Chipperfield and Rick Joy to design 50 private villas. Each villa is entirely unique and boasts sea views and landscaped gardens. The results are spectacular with many villas already snapped up. A handful are also available to rent. Can Calabaza is a five bed modernist sanctuary with stone floors and rattan lampshades designed by Ibiza’s own Jodi Carreno. The Rolf Blakstad-designed restaurant is open to the public serving farm to fork food from Shahar Tamir and team, curated by Ibiza’s legendary La Paloma. Members can also enjoy the 24-hour concierge, gym, bowling alley, tennis courts, salt-water swimming pool and non-denominational chapel and amphitheatre.
