Rolf’s grandfather Peter was a Norwegian master-builder who moved to Vancouver where Rolf’s father Rolph was born.
In 1956 Rolph and his wife Mary, arrived in Ibiza and fell in love with the island. Rolph began his extensive study of the island and its culture, building and its architecture, founding Blakstad Design Consultants in 1967 from which his sons, Nial and Rolf, continue his work.
