David Chipperfield founded his practice in London in 1985. Today David Chipperfield Architects also has offices in Berlin, Milan and Shanghai which together contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects across the globe.

Including the RIBA Stirling Prize in 2007 for The Museum of Modern Literature in Marbach, Germany, and both the Mies van der Rohe Award (European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture) and the Deutscher Architekturpreis in 2011 for the Neues Museum, Berlin.  Today David Chipperfield has offices in Berlin, Milan and Shanghai and contributes to a wide range of projects in Europe, America and Asia.
